Innovation in Distributed Education Applications
DELTA is providing assistance to NCSU faculty and staff in the form of personnel hours and funds to support planning, design and development of high-quality distance education courses, programs and resources. DELTA's IDEA grants are provided to promote innovation in the use of instructional technology in online teaching and learning, build expertise in this area, and enhance the technology-rich learning environment at North Carolina State University.
We especially encourage projects that serve the distance education needs of significant numbers of potential students residing in North Carolina, that are consistent with departmental and college initiatives or that are connected with a DE certificate or degree program. DELTA also encourages projects that yield materials which can be used in on-campus courses or extension activities in addition to their intended DE usage. All projects should strategically use DELTA personnel and resources, have wide applicability, and be sustainable over time.
